iGoogle-Make My Own Homepage(NoAds)

Several days ago,I've found a terrific website on Internet. It just make me feel that I've found a lost paradise(without exaggerate).
Several weeks ago,I've got the idea that If you wanna make full use of computer and Internet you should at least accumulate many experiences both from yourself and others. Before that,I experienced a computer crashing. Then I need to copy all my materials to another computer, thus I can set up a new operating system. After the setup I didn't copy my materials back from my classmate's computer immediately.Several days later I found that he delete it.All my materials are gone. The bookmarks I've accumulated, the academic papers I've collected,my favorite music I've downloaded and some useful information in it are all disappeared! This time I've seen the importance of accumulated experiences in the end.I must draw lessons from this experience.
Finally,I've got an idea that I should upload my most important documents on the Internet.I believe that the big company just like Google and Yahoo won't make their clients' materials lost.Maybe five years later,my hard disk suddenly collapsed, but I can still download some most important data from my mailbox,my blog or something like this.
I spent a plenty of time to upload some materials which is of most importance into my Gmailbox. However, does that is all my most important experience?Does my experience is just the data I've uploaded? The answer is absolutely no!Some learned experience must be write down.So I started my blog in Google's blogger.
The most important by-product of the upload and writing my experience the finding of iGoogle.
First,I'd like to clarify that I'm not an advertiser bribed by Google although I'm a firm Google supporter from these days on.(However,if I were the CEO of Google I would give a reward to the author of this blog.)
iGoogle let you can design your own homepage. You can add many gadgets to your homepage as you wish, and there is absolutely no ads. There are thousands of gadgets you can choose from. Many gadgets are designed by Google while most of them are not.Calendars,news,notebooks,to-do lists, bookmarks, weather forecast, dictionaries, the day in history and so forth. You would see boring ads on your own homepage no more and you can place your most important gadgets on the top of the page or the first page.Your maximum page number is six i.e. you can make six pages of your own if you wish.
Maybe you'd think that this is easy because you can develop your own page by HTML or XML.However, the most fantastic of iGoogle is you can get your own homepage with your Google account in any computer in the world.Your bookmarks can be embedded in the page. The to-do list tells you what to do.The notebook records meaningful things you experienced. The news let you login other news websites no more and you just need view news on your own homepage. Thus, you can accumulate your experience and place the useful gadgets on your own pages worrying about losing data no more.Besides, you can write down your ideas on Internet which are also stored on Internet for good. Here I wanna introduce a very useful gadget:Document to PDF.What you need to do is just type out your e-mail address and upload your document to be transformed.Several seconds later open your mailbox and you'll find there is a new mail from pdf@pdf24.org(www.pdf24.org).The appendix is the PDF document you want.
Another useful function of Google account is Google Docs.Google Docs can open and save many kinds of documents. The user even needn't install any software except a operating system with a browser if they wanna either browse a document or create a document. What's more, several people can share one document and edit it at the same time. And they can chatting with each other in the editing environment just like chatting with MSN or QQ.All the documents can stored on the Internet. There is no need to worry about file missing because a big company should assure their customers that their data is safe.At least,it's safer than our own hard disks which will suddenly collapse without any signs.
With all the Internet stored data which is of great importance to me,I feel much more comfortable.
By the way,one of my conclusions is that Google's products are almost all original. It makes me really it's really something new, especially Google Earth, which translate conventional two dimensional maps into a 3 dimensional globe.
In a word,Google is gradually changing our concepts of many things.
(p.s. this is not an ad)
